After spending some time in Rome, we made our way south to Naples, Italy. To be completely honest, our end destination wasn’t Naples – we were looking to visit Capri and the Amalfi Coast, however staying in Sorrento was a bit more expensive than we were hoping so that landed us in Naples. We decided to rent a car because it was cheaper and easier to work with our timing. I didn’t think driving in Italy was that bad but I’m also a bit of crazy driver myself. I will say on the cliffs it was a little intimidating but I’m also the type of person that likes to have control in those types of situations so it all worked out for the best.
While we didn’t have a long time to explore the city to it’s full extent, we did find some of the best pizza I’ve ever had at Antica Pizzeria dell’Angelo. It was so good, I somehow convinced Kelly to go back there a second time (which we all know I love but everyone gives me shit for). The fact that it was INCREDIBLY affordable made it that much better.
Our time in the southern region of Italy can’t really be described in words – it’s just too beautiful. So rather than wasting your time reading, I’ll skip right to the pictures. However, I will say, if you get the chance to go on a boat ride while in the area, 110% take it. We had one scheduled but it ended up getting cancelled due to choppy waters (thankfully because we almost vommed on the ferry from Naples to Capri and that’s less turbulent than a tiny boat!) which is a tiny regret of mine. I hope to be back sometime soon to get on one though!
