I’m Running the Chicago Hot Chocolate 15k!

Disclaimer: I received a free entry to Hot Chocolate 15k as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro and check out BibRave.com to find and review races!

I know I’ve been non-stop talking about the marathon and while that may be the end of the season for some people, that’s not the case for me – 3 short weeks later, I will be participating in Chicago’s Hot Chocolate 15k!

This race holds a special place in my heart because it is the one that brought out my love for running back in 2014. Prior to that race, I had only played soccer my entire childhood then ran a few 5ks post-college graduation, never quite understanding the amount of joy and sense of peace running can bring to a person. So I fully attribute my obsession with the sport to this event and will forever consider it one of my favorites. Not to mention the goodie bag every year is BOMB and you’re greeted at the finish line with a full array of chocolate treats. What more can you ask for?

The Chicago Hot Chocolate 15k/5k will take place on October 29, 2017 and by using code “BRHCCHI17,” you are able to receive a bonus Hot Chocolate branded hat.

Currently, it costs $64 to run the 15k but this sale only goes through August 13, at which point the price will go up to $74, then raise again on October 15 to $79. As for the 5k, it is $44 through August 13, increasing to $49 through October 15, and finally $54 until registration closes. I know, I know it seems like a steep price to pay for a race but I’m telling you, the goodie bag is one of the best I’ve ever received. Like seriously, how amazing do these pullovers look?

Plus this is a race that all types of runners participate in – those that are trying to PR and those that are there for fun, so you are sure to find your perfect fit while running.

Raise your hand if you’ll be joining me this year!
