With Chicago Spring Half Marathon training coming to a close, that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop running! I’ve learned the hard way that if I take too long of a break (we’re talking a week or more), I have a really hard time getting back into it so I prefer to give myself a day post-race to let my legs recover then keep on chugging along.
Since I still have a few more weeks until Chicago Marathon training officially begins, I want to keep my legs running-strong with a fun race! The Color Run is the perfect opportunity since it falls on the first weekend of June and I have yet to participate in it (I know, I’m clearly behind the times with this one – whoops). This year they are adding a Foam Zone, which I may get lost in for a while. Plus everything is unicorn themed and what girl doesn’t want to add a unicorn medal to her collection?
