Jet-setting to Iceland

Today is the day! Jordan and I are taking off to Iceland (with a quick stop in Boston) and could not be more excited!

This is our first cold-weather vacation so packing was a little different than usual and took a bit more strategic thinking – I opted for a lot of light layers (thank you Old Navy) and a solid pair of hiking boots (thank you Gina for saving my feet!). It’s about to be the comfiest vacation yet!

Over the past few months, we have done extensive research and planning on how to fit the most amount of adventures into a short time-frame. Being my super organized self (read Type A, borderline OCD), I laid it all out in a Google Doc with 3 tabs to start:  (1) daily itinerary, (2) useful articles and various tours with pricing information, and (3) items to be purchased pre-trip (we eventually added a tab for each day to lay out the specific adventure along with directions and a map). We will be staying in the capital, Reykjavik, but will be traveling along the South Coast to Vik, completing the Golden Circle tour, and visiting the ever-popular Blue Lagoon.

Although I am sad to be cutting the cord for a week, I cannot wait to check two destinations off of our bucketlist and share it with all of you once we’re back! If anyone has traveled to Iceland and you have some tips, send them my way, please and thank you!

Check y’all in a week!
